Role Overview: In this fixed-term role, you will report to the Southern Football CEO and Southern United Women’s Head Coach, and maintain a close collaboration with coaching staff from our other Southern United FC Teams, including National Women’s, National Youth, and Futsal National.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a professional and dedicated environment to empower the squad's success throughout the season.
  • Identify and select players, actively recruiting for the 2023 season.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute practice sessions, training programs, pre-season games, and National Girls’ Youth League matches.
  • Nominate and secure an Assistant Coach and Manager for the National Girls’ Youth League team (subject to approval by the Southern Football CEO and Southern United Women’s Head Coach).
  • Engage with the community by participating in various events and programs organized by Southern United FC.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to establish a high-performance culture and lead a dedicated squad.
  • Proven experience in talent identification and recruitment.
  • Proficient in planning and executing training sessions, practices, and games.
  • Commitment to Southern United FC's community engagement initiatives.
  • A minimum of, or current participation in, a New Zealand Football (NZF) C Licence or equivalent.
